Hidden Gems in Petoskey

Being from Petoskey, I am grateful to live in such a lively town that is always changing. This means that every summer there are always new places to check out! Here are some of my favorites hidden spots in Petoskey!
B & G’s Sweet Treats: This adorable ice cream truck just had its Grand Opening in May and will be driving around all summer selling amazing ice cream sandwiches. A local favorite is the Northern Nut, which has chocolate ice cream in between two warm peanut butter cookies. You can find the truck at the breakwall after 6 on the weekends. It is owned and operated by two Petoskey sisters, Bea & Greta, so come support some young, local entrepreneurs whenever you see their truck outside.
The Back Lot: This hotspot is the perfect place to eat some food after a long day of shopping downtown, with a wide range of options to choose from. This summer, the Back Lot has five different trucks; Happy’s Taco Shop, Mim’s Mediterranean Grill, Grilled Cheese Place, Pizza one, & Pigs Eating Ribs. Even though The Back Lot is a Beer Garden, it is still a safe place to bring the whole family!
Lavender Hill Farm: Only a 15-minute drive from downtown Petoskey, you do not want to miss this relaxing piece of paradise. The Lavender is at peak in mid- July, so make sure you stop by and cut yourself a bouquet. They also have a cute little gift shop with cute treats that range from lavender lemonade to Moomer’s lavender ice cream. Throughout the summer, the Lavender Hill Farm hosts a summer concert series
